I’m Althea Mitchell, I created LeadHers Club with a mission close to my heart: to empower new and aspiring women leaders to step into their power and change the world.
As a founder, lawyer, author, spiritual leader, board member and mother, with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from York University, a Bachelor of Law from Coventry University, and a Master of Laws from the University of Southern California-Gould Law, I am following my calling to empower women to step into leadership roles, claim their space, be brave, confident, and bold to forge better lives for themselves and their communities.

why LeadHers Club Exists
When I first stepped into leadership roles, I faced a world that often told me I didn’t belong. People said I was too young to lead, that women shouldn’t be leaders, and that it wasn’t my place. These stereotypes almost paralyzed me and made me want to quit. But deep down, I knew we could redefine leadership on our own terms, and I wanted other women to know this too.

We live in a world that still undermines women as leaders. The old traditional model of leadership is outdated and doesn’t fit the dynamic, diverse, and vibrant potential of women today. I created LeadHers Club because I want every young woman and aspiring leader to know that to champion causes and make real change, you must be in positions of leadership. And to do that, you must be confident, bold, and unapologetically yourself.

MY JOURNEY
As a female leader, my journey hasn’t been easy. Balancing my career as a lawyer, my responsibilities as a mother, and my role as a faith leader has been challenging, but incredibly rewarding. These experiences have shaped who I am and have driven my passion to support other women on their leadership journeys.

I know firsthand how isolating it can feel when there’s no one to turn to for support, guidance, or mentorship. That’s why at LeadHers Club, we’re building a community where you no longer need to feel lonely or out of place.
